Pierra Menta, day 2: victory for Laetitia Roux

Damiano Lenzi and Matteo Eydallin have confirmed theirleadership, meanwhile in the female race Laetitia Roux and Emelie Forsberg, as favorite, have regained the revenge.

Those are the victory of the second stage of the Pierra Menta, the French Skimountaineering race by stages which is involging well 400 athletes.

The two italians have conquered the first place in this race of 2318 meter of altitude high closing in 2h43'47”, behind Kilian Jornet Burgada-Alexis Sevenecc, yesterday in third position, who have reached the finish line a minute later the leaders.

Filippo Barazzuol-Valentin Favre have completed the podium, 5” ahead our Michele Boscacci, in couple with Nadir Maguet, today 4^ after the yesterday second position. But a penalty given to the couple because of external material support, the two italians are now in fifth position, behind the young Anton Palzer and Remi Bonnet.

As to the female race, indeed, Laetitia Roux and Emelie Forsberg make the things clear winning the second stage, conquering the first place in 3h20'59”, followed by the yesterday winners Severine Ponte Combe-Jennifer Fiechter, in 3h28'53”. Third position for Axelle Mollaret and Lorna Bonnel, with almost 11' gap from the team Roux-Forsberg.

Concerning the general rankings, 1^ place for Lenzi-Eydallin are leading with an advantage of 5'57” on Burgada-Sevenecc.

The female ranking is lead by Roux-Forsberg, followed by Fiechter-Pont Combe outmarched of 6'51” and by Mollaret-Bonnet, with a gap of 12'38”.
